The Honor Run said...

The Honor Run www.thehonorrun.org is a Campaign of the 1st Marine Division Association. It has been adopted as a National Mission of the Patriot Guard Riders, the Wind and Fire Motorcycle Club and several Harley Davidson dealers across the country. In DC when Dave Barr leaves from the Vietnam Wall he will have approximately 500 riders with him and we will be hosting a big send off with Dave Coker from the Fisher House Foundation. As Dave and I progress across the country we have several major fundraising events scheduled. In Indianapolis we are expecting 5000 people to show up at an event we are developing there, in Colby Kansas we are being met by the guy who founded the Buell Corporation and 2500 riders. In Denver CO we are expecting a crowd of approximately 3,500 for a function hosted by the Wind and Fire riders and in Mesquite NV we have 1,000 riders for an event hosted by the Casa Blanca Resort and the American Legion.

In California the Lt. Dan Band and Actor Gary Sinise will be performing at the Oakley Corporations World HQ. . At Oakley we expect 3 to 4 thousand people including over 500 classic Hot Rods on display. Leaving from Oakley on 5 September and leading a contingent of riders from California back to New York for the 9/11 remembrance will be San Diego Harley Davidson Dealership owner New York Myke. His mission is to honor all who fell as a result of the attack of terror on our country by helping those with went into battle to defend our freedom. It is shaping up to be one of the largest rolling tributes ever see for our men and women who wear the uniform of this country.

All proceeds from this event go directly to support the construction of a Fisher House for our wounded, scholarships for the children of our fallen and wounded and to help the Intrepid Foundation with their mission.

I would like to speak to you about you about the possibility of American Legion Riders from your chapter joining this effort. Please see www.thehonorrun.org and
www.firstgiving.org/gratefulpatriot1 for more information on how to help.
