Rice-Ebner Post Officer Vacancies

Heads up - Rice Ebner is having its 2nd Nominations for Post Officers and Board of Governors.

These will be accepted on Thursday 23 October during the regular scheduled Home Association Meeting. Post Position—Must be Legion Members

Nominations and elections will be in accordance with the Rice-Ebner Post 588 By-Laws Article VII sec.1 and article VIII sections 1 thru 3. See below.

ARTICLE VII
BOARD OF GOVERNORS

SEC. 1. The government and management of the Association is confined to a Board of Governors consisting of five (5) members in good standing- composed of three (3) active members and /or two (2) associate members. The President may only vote in case of a tie vote. If the President is absent, the Vice-President may vote in the case of a tie.


ARTICLE VIII
ELECTIONS
SEC. 1. The election for President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and members of the Board of Governors shall be by ballot and shall be conducted by the Committee on elections in accordance with the provision of these bylaws. A plurality of all votes cast shall elect.

SEC. 2. Any active member as prescribed in Article X, in good standing, who has been an active member for not less than one (1) year, prior to election shall be eligible for election by the Association as either President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer or a member of the Board of Governors. No member can be elected to any office by means of stickers or write-ins.

SEC. 3. Any active member as prescribed in Article X, in good standing, who has been an active member for not less than one (1) year, prior to election, shall be eligible for election to the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors shall be composed of five (5) members, no less than three (3) Active and no more than two (2) Associate members. Their term of office shall be for one (1) year.
